About this image

This VIS image show part of Cyane Fossae, located near Alba Mons. The linear feature is bounded by faulting, creating a feature called a graben. The multiple crater-type forms may indicate that the graben served as a location for volcanic flow. The round features typically form where the roof of a lava tube has collapsed.
