Alba Mons Channels
About this image
Today's VIS image is located on the northwestern flank of Alba Mons. This region is highly dissected by channels. Alba Mons is a broad volcano, surrounded by graben features created by a huge volcanic eruption followed by the collapse of the volcano into the underlying empty magma chamber.
