Lycus Sulci
About this image
Lycus Sulci is the name of a region of ridges and hills located north-northwest of the volcano Olympus Mons. Several dust avalanches can be observed on the flanks of the roughly textured surfaces suggesting a thick coating of fine-grained materials. Linear sand ripples occur in some of the valleys.
