Matara Crater Dunes

Today's VIS image shows part of the floor of Matara Crater. A large, steep sided, sand sheet is just visible at the upper left of the image. The top of the sand sheet has been sculpted by the wind, creating dune forms. Matara Crater is located in Noachis Terra and is 48km (30 miles) in diameter.
